'Healthy' consumers are easier influenced

Consumers with a more than average interest in healthy products are more easily influenced by consumers who are less aware of healthy nutrition. This was concluded by research agency ‘Shopper Intelligence’, based on a survey conducted among American consumers. 28% of people with particular interest in healthy products are willing to switch retailer if a particular product is on sale. People who are not interested in healthy products are less likely to change retailer.

Extra attention

As much as 34% of "healthy shoppers" are keen to choose a retailer when this retailer pays extra attention to a particular product. This group seems to be visiting a store with a clear purpose. The “unhealthy shopper” does not base its choice for a retailer on such information.
